There are so many people that contributed at multiple levels to make Brain Ablaze’s inaugural year so remarkable. We just want to take a moment to say, “Thank You!”. Here are just a few that made the tip-top of the list in no particular order.

Jo Mackenzie

Jo is Brain Ablaze’s superstar. She does so much to keep this whole thing going. Not only has she laid her heart on the line in our blog, but she also does a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes.

Mike Knox

Not only has Mike Knox jumped in to provide his story to our blog and donated a stash of his book “Vivien’s Rain: My Daughter’s Battle with Epilepsy” to be sold in our store, he also came on to the show talk about his family’s experience with Vagus Nerve Stimulator.

Cath Shanks

She was the first person to reach out to us via Twitter to share that there was actually someone listening to our podcast. Since then, she’s provided advice on our podcast’s format, what we should cover, what should be in our store, and even has been on our show lending her voice talent in this digital short.

Trevor Harris

A standup comedian from Los Angeles, Trevor Harris has been helping us from the beginning by giving us sound advice and helping us learn more about his fight with Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy.

Peter Meyer

When we reached out to Peter we never knew how much his story of stigma would influence future content on both in our podcast and Twitter community.

Ryan Sawyer and his Lightning Monk

We are big fans of comics. To have such a legendary superhero like Lightning Monk make a cameo on our show was so exciting.

Everyone that Helped the Epilepsy Community through the #SeizureChallenge

While the Seizure Challenge ran rampant on TikTok this year, Claudia really stepped up to support and protect the Epilepsy Community.

Sophie Pierce

Recently retired from the BBC, Sophie Pierce came on the show to tell us the tragic tale of her son, Felix Murdin. She put a face to the stories that we have all heard about Sudden Death in EPilepsy (or SUDEP).

Our Listeners

We want to say, “Thank You!” to all of you, the listeners. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to raise awareness for Epilepsy or seizures. Thank you so much for listening!

Donate to Season 2

Our mission is to raise epilepsy awareness and not funds. If you like what we do, we would appreciate any amount you can donate to our cause. You can find a donate button on our site at the top right corner of any of our content pages.
