We run two different virtual Support Group sessions on both sides of the Atlantic. One session is targeted to the GMT and another session to PST zones.

The GMT timezone session meets on the 10th of every month at 6 PM | 1 PM EST | 10 AM PST.

The PST Timezone session meets on the 26th of every month at 6 PM | 9 PM EST.

Why the 10th and the 26th?

Ten and twenty-six are important numbers to people with Epilepsy. One out of ten people will have a seizure sometime in their lifetime, while one out of twenty-six will develop Epilepsy. Having the sessions on the 10th and 26th of each month also allows us to provide support for two evenly-spaced (somewhat) sessions for those of you that wish to go to both sessions.

What are the Basic Rules for each Session?

We want to ensure that each session is inclusive for everyone, so we ask that our guests take special care to stay away from topics that might ruin the inclusive environment. We understand that we all need to vent sometimes, but we ask that everyone to cater their venting to the stress of our lifestyle living with seizures and not categories like politics or history.

Unfortunately, we have to also ask that minors (less than eighteen years old) be accompanied by an adult that understands their condition.

Can I Ask for Medical Advice?

The session moderators are not doctors or licensed therapists. We are just people who have had plenty of seizures and can provide support through our experience.

I Don’t live in the Target Time Zone (GMT or PST), Can I Still Join?

Absolutely! Anyone from anywhere can join any session. If you are on the Internet at the time of a session, why not drop on by.

I Don’t Experience Seizures, but I am a Caretaker for a Person that Does. Can I Still Join?

Of course! You will be welcomed with open arms!

How Can I be Reminded about Sessions (or Cancellations)?

We will continue to use Twitter to send out reminders before a session starts or if a session is canceled. If you have an aversion to Twitter and still wish to be reminded, we plan to have an email list as well. We will add you to the list if you send a message to social@brainablaze.com that includes “Epilepsy Session GMT” or “Epilepsy Session PST” as the subject.

How Can I Join the Sessions?
