In this episode, our host, David Clifford, walks through the events leading up to his neurosurgery in 2017.

This is part one of a two-part series. Make sure that you listen to 020: The Recovery to learn the whole story.

Neurosurgery is often the last resort for people of epilepsy with intractable seizures. To qualify, an applicant needs to go through testing that pinpoints exactly where in the brain the seizures originates. Additionally, functional tests are used to determine what type of skills the patient has a risk of losing after the surgery.

Though I joke in the episode, I want to say a solid, “Thank You” to my surgeon.
