We created the Brain Ablaze store a couple of months ago. We’ve raised raising funds for our podcast, blog, social media campaigns, and of course Epilepsy Research. 40% of the profits from the sale of each item goes directly to Epilepsy research. A few weeks later we opened the store, I got a message from Mike Knox.
There’s a lot Behind that Bunny Mask
I first learned about Mike through Twitter. His comedic bunny mask avatar sends virtual hugs to anyone that needs it after having a seizure.

I knew that he was a comedian. I mean his Twitter handle is @MikeKnoxComedy and his tweets are always funny.
Generous Donation
With the Pandemic in place, there was little chance that I would be able to see his stand-up routine anytime soon. It was only a couple of months later that I learned that he was an author too. His book, Vivien’s Rain My Daughter’s Battle with Epilepsy, is part parenting guide, part love story, and all Epilepsy Awareness. We’re purposely trying to not spoil it for you, but you will love it.
He asked me if Brain Ablaze wanted to sell his books in our store. I was first hesitant. I started to tell Mike that Brain Ablaze wasn’t planning on joining an affiliate program. After all, some online stores are just a thin veneer around Amazon. We wanted to provide unique ….
Mike interrupted me to say, “No, you don’t understand. I want to donate copies of Vivien’s Rain to your store so the proceeds can be donated to Epilepsy Research.”
I was floored.
“I’ll even sign them too!”, he added.
Since publishing Vivien’s Rain, Mike has become an Epilepsy Advocate. He knows what we go through because he saw it through his daughter. He now travels around the United States presenting his daughter’s story and helping people learn about VNS Therapy. It was only after researching this particular post, did I learn that he is a Hollywood movie producer too!
